Terms and Conditions The Floor Sanding Company are UK based Suppliers/ fitters/ restorers providing professional fitting of all types of hardwood floors, including sanding and refinishing of existing floors to bring them back to their former beauty. We pride ourselves on offering our customers first-class customer service, from the initial enquiry through to the completion date. Confirmation of a booking with us, either by telephone or by email, means that the customer agrees to be bound by the below terms and conditions. The Company means The Floor Sanding Company The Customer means any customer of the company The ‘Contract’ means any contract for sales of goods or agreed work by the Company to the Customer Quotations As a company, The Floor Sanding Company offer a free no-obligation quotation policy, this means we will come and survey the room of choice, any existing components and discuss the customer’s requirements, expectations, desired finish, budget, and any other work-related queries raised by the customer. Once one of our professional floor fitters have surveyed the project, they will calculate the financials including Goods and Labour, we would then email a formal quotation to you, there is a 72 hour turn around period on quotations. Please note this is based on business hours of Monday – Friday 9.00am – 17.00pm. All quotations by the Company are valid for a period of 14 days, acceptance of a quotation needs to be confirmed by email within this period. On acceptance of a quotation, The Floor Sanding Company will provisionally book a commencement date, this date will be held by our system for a maximum of 24 hours, to secure this date a payment of materials cost is due immediately, once payment is received the project will be confirmed and an email will be sent confirming the deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due on the completion of all the agreed work being carried out. The Company reserves the right to withdraw a quotation at any time before it has been accepted by the Customer. Deposits: We ask for deposits to cover our company The Floor Sanding Company due to last minute cancellations or movement of dates, cost of flooring and materials. Labour Only TBA of Total Invoiced Amount Sanding and Restoration TBA of Total Invoiced Amount Supply of Materials (Flooring/ skirting) Must be paid in full prior to ordering of agreed products and the labour paid on the day the works are completed. All other charges must be paid in full once the work has been completed on the said day and after checked by the client. ALL Deposits are non-refundable once paid. Please note that once your deposit is received and this is a part payment, and you decide you no longer wish to go any further these monies paid are non-refundable. TFSC take deposits for the manufacturer to hold and store your flooring until which time your ready to install and these are the costs incurred. All materials must be paid to secure the flooring at the price on the quote on the day of acceptance, Please note should you change the dates of the booking or other trades are on site and in way and we cannot work this will incur a charge of £450 plus Vat per day. PAYABLE TO: The Floor Sanding Company SORT CODE: 04-06-05 ACCOUNT NUMBER: 21929730 Deliveries Please be advised that when a floor is ordered through The Floor Sanding Company, it may be subject to a curb side delivery to your home address and this will require someone to be there to sign for the said delivery, as we may not always be available to assist with this. You will be advised a date of said delivery prior to this occurring. Please be advised that some drivers are not obligated to assist with the moving of materials into the property/ site, thus may not assist with moving the delivery into your property, please advise our office at the time of booking should you require assistance and we can the necessary arrangements made. Supply, Fit, Renovation and Restoration The company requires a 14-day notice period if the customer wishes to cancel or postpone the contract. In event of cancellation if the 14-day notice is not given, the customer forfeits the 50% deposit paid, if the customer cancels within 7 working days, the customer agrees to forfeit the 50% deposit including any financial loss for materials purchased by the company plus vat. If the customer wishes to postpone the contract, and the 14-day notice period is not given then the customer agrees to forfeit the deposit paid, on occasion the 50% deposit may be transferred to a new date, however this is at the company’s discretion. When the original floor covering has been removed, any problems with the exposed sub floor will need to be rectified. If this additional work can be carried out by our staff it will be charged as an additional and may extend the fitting / renovation time. This means the work may not be completed on consecutive days depending on current workload. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all areas must be cleared prior to commencement of work. Under no circumstances will the company remove appliances plumbed in or not plumbed if. This is the responsibility of the client., furniture, breakables, carpet, gripper rods or underlay. When a sub-floor cannot be examined properly, due to fitted carpets, furniture or building materials the quotation will be estimated, the monetary values may change once the sub-floor condition can be viewed in full. The Floor Sanding Company, reserves the right to charge any additional for Goods or labour required for any sub-floor works undertaken, if required. The Floor Sanding Company always suggest that any cosmetic renovations are completed after the flooring project is finished, the company cannot be held responsible for any damage to cosmetic renovations such as paintwork or wallpapering. We do not know the history of flooring which is insitue and on occasion it can occur the flooring is contaminated and can cause issues with regards to said finishes as requested by the client. We aim to remove any imperfections and marks in existing floors while sanding however this is not always possible and some stains and marks may remain. When restoring a wooden floor through sanding, it is not possible to gauge the thickness of the wear layer and so The Floor Sanding Company cannot be held responsible that if during the sanding process the machines sand through the wear layer, on very rare occasions this can occur. There will be dust from the industrial sanding machines we use. Our company will use dust sheets for protection, but it is impossible to contain all the dust. We advise you to remove or protect all curtains, drapes and paintings. We cannot be held liable for any damage from dust. Our skills are installing wooden floors and renovations of wood flooring Solid and engineered, if any additional work such as carpentry/ joinery work is needed this will be at clients cost. Wood is a natural material containing distinctive differences in colour, grain configuration and natural characteristics such as mineral highlights, knotting and pin holes. It is these differences caused by nature that creates the beauty and uniqueness of each hardwood floor. Your floor may contain varying amounts of these natural characteristics. When changing the original colour of wood flooring, through staining/ colouring, the final outcome cannot be guaranteed by The Floor Sanding Company, as we do not know the history/ origin of the timber and thus different variations can occur. The Company reserves the right to withdraw a quotation at any time after the quotation has been accepted, if the above is not followed. Our staff and team are here to help and provide you with the high standard service we provide and we expect the same level or kindness and courtesy to our staff members, we do not tolerate abusive behaviour or violence and will leave site immediately, even if the job is not completed as this is unacceptable.
